PRIMARY FUNCTION:
This role is responsible for leading AAA Washington product management organization for the strategic
portfolio of platforms. Responsible for guiding engagement with business stakeholders, technology experts, and leadership to develop roadmaps and lead the evolution of Agile programs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Leads product management efforts for strategic platforms, including CRM, digital self-service, data
solutions, customer sales and service, and business automation.
• Owns, drives, and supports the vision, strategy, roadmap, and development plans for enterprise and
business-line specific solutions.
• Collaborates with business and engineering teams to develop and maintain product roadmaps and
release plans.
• Devises and facilitates planning sessions and activities using appropriate applicable Agile methodologies
and frameworks.
• Creates and manages prioritized backlogs to ensure continuous delivery of features and capabilities.
Manages resources for the IT PMO leading enterprise IT initiatives and ensure alignment with product
development roadmaps and backlogs.
• Engages with executives, business leaders, functional stakeholders, engineering, and development
teams to drive product management initiatives.
• Leads the Center of Excellence for agile programs and practices, helping the organization evolve its agile
capabilities and maturity.
• Ensures alignment of product management efforts with the strategic plan, annual operating plans, and
business goals and objectives.
• Leads teams of technical product managers and product administrators responsible for our strategic
platform portfolio, and product owners responsible for serving our strategic business pillars spanning
Sales, Service, Finance, People, and Customer Experience.
• Contributes to a positive team dynamic through respectful interactions, positive contributions, and
active collaboration to achieve department and organizational goals.
• Incorporates AAA's vision, mission and values in day-to-day activities and behaviors; guides and
motivates others to remain committed to AAA's vision mission and values.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for developing people, improving processes, reducing costs, monitoring quality, delivering
results against established objectives, and ensuring a high level of service to internal and external
customers.
• Manages assigned employees by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, developing,
counseling, and disciplining employees; planning monitoring, appraising, and reviewing employee job
contributions; maintaining compensation, resolving problems, and implementing change.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience
• 8+ years' experience in product management
• 6+ years' experience in leadership or management role
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Familiarity with SaaS and/or cloud-based solutions
• Hands on experience with development and management of two or more product areas, including:
consumer-focused digital, business automation, CRM, data solutions, ERP, and customer experience
• Experience with the Salesforce eco-system
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
• Expert product management skills, with a focus on strategic platforms such as CRM, digital self-service,
data solutions, customer sales and service, and business automation.
• Strong understanding of the Scaled Agile Framework and how to facilitate planning sessions and
activities.
• Excellence leadership and management skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with executives,
business leaders, and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage resources for an IT PMO and ensuring alignment with product development roadmaps
and backlogs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and facilitate
activities with diverse audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to drive continuous delivery of features and capabilities that align with strategic
plans and business goals.
SALARY RANGE:
The salary range for this role is $134,900 - 175,325 and is based on experience.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• The physical environment is typical of a standard office space. It requires the employee to work inside for the duration of work. Must be able to remain in a stationary position, sitting for more than 50% of the time. This position will require occasionally moving about inside the office to access equipment, cabinets, etc. May work around office equipment which could be noisy, such as copiers and fax machines.
