Colonial Oil Industries, Inc. (COI) is one of the largest independent oil companies in the Southeast and has been serving the region since 1921. With strategic ocean terminals in Savannah, GA, Charleston, SC, and Jacksonville, FL, along with numerous terminals along the Colonial and Plantation Pipeline, COI has an extensive network to supply gasoline and diesel fuel to the Southeast.


POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for transaction validation, creation of book structure, creation and validation of price curves, data integrity, stress testing, advanced analytics, and risk reporting. Risk reporting includes but is not limited to: generating daily position reports, daily PnL’s, a daily limit compliance report, reporting counterparty risk (in coordination with the Credit Department), contract administration, document management, and various other reports as required to ensure compliance with this and other company policies. This role is also responsible for sending/receiving trade confirmations and reporting that all bulk deals are appropriately hedged.

JOB EXPECTATIONS/DUTIES

  • Ensure compliance with Corporate Delegation of Authority and Risk Policy.
  • Review and validate daily Position Summary report and PnL.
  • Generate daily exposure including overall position and pricing forecast.
  • Review accuracy of ETRM data to include accurate marks, input of costs and troubleshoot discrepancies and system issues.
  • Oversee contract and confirmation process.
  • Other assignments as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field is preferred.
  • 5 years of refiner or trade house handling products or other related industry experience.
  • Middle office management experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, effective communication, organization, and customer relationship development skills.
  • Ability to work well individually and as part of a team.
