Ventev, a division of TESSCO Technologies, manufactures solutions to deploy, protect, power, and improve the performance of wireless networks. As a Manufacturing Planner within Ventev, you will work directly with a highly dedicated product development team, engineering, supply chain, and sales professionals to deliver exceptional customer experience. In this role, you will manage customer requirements and shipment schedules for Ventev enclosures, integrated power systems, solar systems, and cable assembly builds. You will work internally with the Ventev team to track Bill of Material components, and product availability, and manage the production schedule for Ventev manufacturing with the Operations team. You will be the primary point of contact for the Sales organization, setting expectations on shipment schedules and providing regular updates. Strong customer service, written and verbal communication, sense of ownership, accountability, attention to detail, and result orientation are required skills to succeed in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Manage production planning and shipment schedule to support customer requirements, acting as the single point of contact with Sales for our integrated Wi-Fi enclosures, power systems, and cable assembly projects
  • Lead cross-functional weekly production calls to align priorities and planned completion dates, managing expectations and communicating order fulfillment dates and shipment schedules with Ventev and Tessco Sales teams
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Operations to execute Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) for Bill of Material (BOM) changes
  • Verify BOM SKUs are accurately set up and flow through Tessco systems and logistics operations correctly
  • Responsible for overall backorder tracking and reporting, providing ship dates within each month and quarter for expected revenue to be realized
  • Expediting materials and components to reduce lead times, improve overall customer delivery and experience
  • Coordinate material requirements for prototype requirements to ensure materials are in place for proto builds to meet Proof of Concept or customer Pilot due dates
  • Lead manufacturer operations Scorecard reviews to address areas of under-performance and promote strengths to generate a competitive advantage for Ventev
  • Review practices and procedures, seeking ways to improve efficiency and effectiveness, reduce risk to product quality, delivery, and costs
  • Maintaining and running reports, and assisting with product-related activities and other projects as required

Qualifications

  • Self-starter, and a desire to work in a fast-paced, energetic environment

  • Demonstrated customer service and customer satisfaction
  • High level of organizational and interpersonal skills, and strong attention to detail
  • Highly responsive with a strong sense of urgency and follow-up
  • Team-oriented, self-starter, and able to manage multiple tasks with tight deliverables
  • ‘Can do attitude’, willing to step in and take on new challenges and opportunities
  • Demonstrated project management experience
  • Knowledge of manufacturing bill of materials structure & configuration management
  • SAP experience preferred
  • Experience in inventory management, logistics, or planning preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in operations management, supply chain, or other business-related field is highly preferred
