Job Summary

The Project Specialist in the Manufacturing Training team is fully responsible for leading the planning and implementation phases of projects assigned by leadership. The project specialist will facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables as well as provide project timelines and budgets when applicable. The project specialist will manage project resource allocation and assemble and coordinate project staff based on organizational needs. The project specialist will serve as a coordinator for all necessary resources related to all programs administered by the manufacturing training team.



Responsibilities




  • Coordinate day-to-day activities as they are related to project-specific goals.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope and deliverables.
  • Develop a detailed project plan to track progress.
  • Work with Sales leadership to identify appropriate projects to underpin the overarching Sales and Commercial operations goals.
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools.
  • Assemble project teams (with stakeholder input) to ensure cross-functional representation.
  • Manage internal customers/stakeholders/project team members relationships effectively.
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
  • Communicate effectively to the project team and external stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Delegate project tasks to team members best suited to complete those.
  • Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget.
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation.
  • Create a collaborative environment around each project.
  • Direct, motivate and lead project teams.
  • Prepare project reports.
  • Ability to work in a global, multicultural environment.
  • Coordinate all training matrices as they relate to programs administered and implemented by the manufacturing training team.





Qualifications




  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Minimum of two years of increasingly responsible experience, which includes significant work experience in project management.
  • PMP (or equivalent) certification preferred.
  • Develop and administer a project budget, and analyze expenditures related to the assigned project area.
  • Research, collect, analyze, and evaluate complex data to make sound judgments, logical decisions, and defensible recommendations.
  • Communicate effectively in writing in order to prepare clear and concise reports, correspondence, and technical memoranda.
  • Provide excellent and courteous internal customer service, establish, and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Manage multiple concurrent project activities that often have competing timelines and deadlines.
  • Maintain cooperative relationships with co-workers and others contacted through the course of work; respond in a positive manner to supervision and attend and perform duties on a regular and consistent basis.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, MS Project etc.
  • Knowledge of plastics industry preferred.
  • Effective Research, Writing and presentation skills.
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to successfully work in a team environment and independently.
  • Problem Solving and analytical skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
