JOB SUMMARY - To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
The Marketing Associate will support the Oncology global business unit and help to drive growth and support the business needs. This will include both upstream and downstream marketing activities. You will join a dynamic and fast-paced environment and work with cross-functional teams to design, build and roll-out products that deliver the company's vision and strategy.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify and fill product support gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth
Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners
Help build product pricing and positioning strategies
Help to translate product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes
Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact
Help to provide feedback to engineering teams to aid in delivering with quick time-to-market and optimal resources
Help to support product launches including working with internal partners including Sales, Communications and other cross-functional team members
Help support promotional plans to ensure that they are consistent with product line strategy and that the message is effectively conveyed
Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding
Represent the company by visiting customers to solicit feedback on company products and services
Attend and support company sponsored events such as trade-shows and commercial events, operations forecasting
Sales analysis for targeting, gap reports, market trends (ASP erosion, unit volume change), etc.
Work with internal partners to maintain current brochures (choose to obsolete, remove obsolete part numbers, execute a refresh)
Tradeshow execution - what to exhibit, workshops, advertisements
Be the marketing representative on smaller R&D and operational projects (SKU rationalization, DCAF, supplier changes)
Assist with social media strategy
Sales support, price management
May perform other duties as assigned
Education and Experience
Bachelor Level of Degree in the Marketing or related field of study
0 - 2 years of demonstrated experience
Any preferred education, experience or certifications: Medical Device experience preferred
Skills/Knowledge
Proficient in the following computer software applications: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Microsoft Project a plus
Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
Must be comfortable challenging current thinking and be flexible to adapt to changing regulations, business needs and priorities.
Self-starter that is able to work well within the group environment. Must have an entrepreneurial spirit and be able to excel in a team environment.
Exceptional interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
Ability to effectively communicate both internally and externally.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance, instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
