Job Description:

The Facilities Supervisor is responsible for the overall operation and maintenance of the buildings throughout the N C Machinery - Alaska.


Responsibilities include but not limited to:



  • Periodic inspection of all buildings is made and all repairs taken care of in a timely manner.

  • Responsible to see that company vehicles are serviced properly and kept in safe operating condition.

  • Operation and maintenance of building systems: heating, cooling, electrical, compressed air, water and waste.

  • Write spec sheets and obtain bids for major construction and purchases.

  • Evaluate bids. Keep building and yard costs on budget.

  • Supervise contractors in building and janitorial services.

  • Respond to calls from security patrol, alarm Company, and law enforcement agencies.

  • Make random door and lock checks on weekends and holidays

  • Ensure all facilities are compliant with the ADA.

  • Responsible for purchasing and installing all truck mounted equipment.

  • Experience in electrical work, plumbing, HVAC, and irrigation system.

  • Develop and maintain a good working relationship with vendors.

  • Equipment is checked and serviced at regular intervals.

  • Work closely with the Product Support Manager.

Qualifications:


The Facilities Supervisor needs to demonstrate a high level of teamwork with all departments and Business Units. Have excellent communications skills. Experience with building maintenance is preferred. Demonstrate organizational skills and leadership skills. PC skills are required with experience with Microsoft Office and general office equipment. Travel and overnight stays required to branch stores. High school diploma to equivalent necessary, must have valid state driver’s license.
