Job Overview:
In this role, the Reciprocating Equipment Analyst provides effective and responsive services to support business leaders in the day-to-day business operations and activities. This position reports to the Director Analysis and Predictive Maintenance
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Analysis of customer equipment using engine / compressor analysis equipment
Requires traveling to job site, collecting detailed and accurate diagnostic data; interpreting the data collected and providing written detailed comprehensive analysis reports based on the operational and mechanical condition of the specific unit, to detail the findings and provide diagnostic results and suggestions to customers.
Approves and submits analysis reports to the appropriate customer in a timely manner.
Requires a strong mechanical background, and a thorough knowledge of diesel, gas engine and compressor operations and mechanics.
Requires proficient technical communication (verbal and written) between internal Engineering, Technical Support & Sales teams, as well as our customers.
Required Skills and Experience:
High school diploma/GED equivalent required.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an Engine Analyst or in a Compression Field Service Role is desired. Demonstrable abilities to perform the role.
Full detailed understanding of the machinery components and application using Condition Analysis & Performance Evaluation for Compressors & Engines to include 2 cycle, 4 cycle gas and diesel.
Compressor Valve Analysis theory and application
Engine Balancing
Ultrasonic and FFT vibration analysis
Machinery knowledgeable and understanding of Reciprocating Equipment Analysis
Strong computer software skills.
Ability to work and flourish in an independent and self-directed environment.
Ability to effectively train and mentor others.

Additional Info.:
May travel internationally and domestically (up to 70% plus)
