Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

20% Develop and manage effective relationships with Chapter Presidents, Site Reps, and District Staff through occasional on-site visits, professional negotiation, responsive communication, problem resolution and meeting customer expectations in coordination with the Voluntary Sales Representative. Work with Chapter Presidents, Site Reps, and District Staff to understand their needs and act as liaison between home office and the customers to interpret existing contract, resolve administrative issues and answer claims, premium and evidence questions.

50% Facilitate the enrollment and re-enrollment process, including conducting enrollment meetings, providing education and counsel on available enrollment opportunities, preparing and distributing enrollment materials, and being present at benefit fairs.

20% Pursue opportunities to improve profitability, retention, and growth. Identify and promote the sale of additional lines of coverage. Promote new product offerings and enhanced product features. Highlight the advantages of placing and/or retaining the coverage with our company.

10% Provides program wide support for sales and enrollment enablement activities including: Management of virtual appointment program, including staffing, scheduling, and training; Management of relationship with third-party administrator providing contract Benefit Counselors; Program-wide data governance utilizing Salesforce CRM and Power BI; maintenance of LEAN dashboards and huddle boards; Provides training and mentoring

Job Specifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business or related field is preferred but not required.

  • Experience: 5 years progressively responsible work experience in sales financial services including customer service, or the equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience.

  • Knowledge: Has a wide range of experience as a skilled specialist of professional field. Requires thorough knowledge of business practices. Competent in business analysis and has decision-making skills to resolve business problems.

  • Leadership: Serve as a role model to other team members, customers, and project team members to enable success in meeting team and departmental goals. May serve as a mentor to teammates.

  • Autonomy: Typically plans and schedules own work and requires limited direction.

  • Job Complexity: Works on complex projects where analysis of solutions requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Exercises judgment and identifies solutions. Takes initiative to improve efficiency and implements improvements. Shares results with team.

  • Problem Solving: Performs accurate assessments of moderately complex problems, using a mixture of tools and a data to identify patterns, find root causes and provide solutions. Strategic and resourceful.

  • Interpersonal Skills: Listens attentively, actively shares information, and works cooperatively to build and strengthen relationships. Communicates complex issues clearly and concisely. Networks with internal and external key contacts. Able to influence decisions. Effective mentor and team player.

  • Certification: Current California Insurance License

  • Travel: 50% or more

Please note - the salary range for this role is listed below. In addition to salary, our package includes incentive plan participation and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits, as well as an initial PTO accrual of 164 hours per year. Employees also receive 11 paid holidays and 2 wellness days per year.

  • Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program and plan. Any award depends on various factors, including individual and organizational performance.

Salary Range:

$72,750.00 - $106,500.00
