Job Summary

We are looking for a PHS Billing Analyst to monitor, process, report, and document various billing transactions, including suspense, adjustments, premium receipts, invoicing, deduction requests, reversals, reposts, and delinquencies. You will coordinate with other business areas to ensure accurate premium processing, billing, and fee disclosure. Additionally, you will assist with reconciliations, create monthly bills for alternately billed groups, and serve as a resource for both external and internal business areas on processes, procedures, and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • 45% - Monitor and process a variety of billing-related transactions, including adjustments, premium receipts, invoicing, deduction requests, and delinquencies. Ensure accuracy of billing data and coordinate with other business areas as needed.
  • 30% - Perform research in support of reconciliations and adjustments. Create monthly bills for alternately billed groups and address billing discrepancies.
  • 15% - Proactively communicate sensitive policy and billing information to policyholders, producers, third-party administrators, field force, and internal staff. Provide solutions based on Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), federal regulations, and contractual provisions.
  • 10% - Audit billing and delinquency information for accuracy, develop solutions to billing issues, and collaborate with system design teams for system and process improvements. Work on special projects with management.

Skills and Background You’ll Need

  • Must-Have:
    • Minimum 2 years of accounting or complex financial experience.
    • High School Diploma or equivalent (bachelor's degree preferred)
    • Intermediate systems knowledge including Group Access, GroupFacts, AdminEase, Lawson, Clarity, and OMAR.
    • Intermediate Excel and Word skills.
    • 2+ years of customer service experience.

Please note - the salary range for this role is listed below. In addition to salary, our package includes incentive plan participation and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits, as well as an initial PTO accrual of 164 hours per year. Employees also receive 11 paid holidays and 2 wellness days per year.

  • Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program and plan. Any award depends on various factors, including individual and organizational performance.

Salary Range:

20.43 - 29.81
