This position serves as a direct report to the Senior Associate Dean to provide assistance for the Honors College's scholarship admissions, recruitment, outreach, and selection processes. Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB DUTIES:
60% - Essential - Scholarship Applicant Evaluations: Conducts holistic review of Honors College applications and assesses Honors College applications based on their qualifications and fit for the Honors College's two signature cohort-based scholarship programs: the National Scholars Program and Breakthrough Scholars Program. Participates in selection of semi-finalist stage of application review, in consultation with Honors College Leadership. Manages a portfolio of semi-finalist applications that are under consideration for finalist selection. Develops and leads presentations on assigned semi-finalist applications during selection committee meetings and, in consultation with Honors College Leadership, provides recommendations for finalist interview consideration.
20% - Essential - Scholarship Recruitment Weekend Preparation and Participation: Conducts holistic review of Honors College applications and assesses Honors College applications based on their qualifications and fit for the Honors College's two signature cohort-based scholarship programs: the National Scholars Program and Breakthrough Scholars Program. Participates in selection of semi-finalist stage of application review, in consultation with Honors College Leadership. 20% - Essential - Special Projects: Assists the Honors College and Scholarship Programs leadership teams on assorted projects related to student recruitment and outreach to stakeholders. Compiles and maintains databases of students, alumni, and supporters. Assists with communication to stakeholders.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education - Bachelor's Degree Experience - 1 year of relevant experience
