About the Role

Essity’s Health and Medical team is looking for an experienced Strategic Account Executive - Wound Care. In this role, you are responsible for delivering value by providing relevant solutions to stakeholders in order to protect our premium position. The call points include hospital systems, regional collaborative hospital groups and post-acute groups across the continuum of care. The position requires experience leading and directing cross functional teams of peers (without direct reporting relationships).

This will be a remote position. The ideal candidate should live near a major US international airport and able to travel often within the aligned Essity Regional structure.

What You Will Do


  • Develop, implement and lead the strategy for each assigned strategic account.


  • Develop Strategic Business plan, stakeholder analysis and opportunity strategy for each account, with focus on the continuum of care.


  • Continuous pipeline development of new opportunities and new stakeholder relationships


  • Develop new and expand business with existing customers through introduction of new products, presenting product information, explaining product features and distinctions.


  • Establish, maintain, and grow customer relationships at all levels, including the C-suite.


  • Represent Essity in sales calls and negotiations and achieve established sales goals for products in assigned account base.


  • Identify and utilize all internal resources (Finance, Marketing, Clinical Resource Specialists, Contract Administration, and Legal) in the development and implementation of the strategy for each account.


  • Develop and deliver quarterly business reviews foreach of the assigned accounts Identify and resolve customer problems through contact with customer service department.


  • Develop effective customer relations within assigned accounts in order to ensure satisfaction, service, and promote needs awareness.


  • Maintain variety of contacts within Essity to gather and exchange information related to sales goals and results, product availability and pricing, marketing strategies and plans, and status of orders.


  • Maintain a positive and team-oriented approach with all contacts internally and externally by being open to and sharing new programs, best practices, and success/challenges.


  • Sales administration, such as completing sales paperwork, maintaining customer records in CRM system, preparing routine expense, sales, and activity reports, assisting with special projects, analyzing individual customer product mix and sales volume, and processing orders.


Who You Are


  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration or related field of study, from accredited college/university.


  • 5-7 years’ experience in business-to-business (B2B) sales; experience in medical device is strongly preferred; experience with account management for medium to large IDNs.


  • Executive level, Key account sales experience required.


  • High level of communication and strong negotiation skills.


  • Intermediate level computer knowledge in all Essity supplied business systems (CRM) and software (i.e. sales reports, forms, orders, records, business plans, etc.)
