“A Day in the Life”

As the Calibration Lab Manager, you will be at the heart of our laboratory operations, providing leadership and collaborating across the Division to achieve strategic objectives and exceed customer expectations. Your day will be filled with diverse responsibilities, from overseeing calibration and repair production to ensuring rental equipment readiness and offering technical expertise to both internal and external customers. You will play a crucial role in driving team performance and fostering a culture of excellence.

“What You’ll Do”


  • Lead and inspire a team of talented technicians, ensuring smooth workflow and high standards.

  • Manage the development and implementation of objectives, policies, procedures, processes, and systems within your area of responsibility.

  • Monitor Laboratory and Division performance by analyzing relevant data, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing necessary changes.

  • Address technical matters and interpret policies, procedures, and standards to ensure smooth operations.

  • Uphold ISO 9001 QMS certification and ISO/IEC 17025 calibration laboratory accreditation.

  • Incorporate continuous improvement, maximize customer satisfaction, and apply Lean principles in all aspects of planning, decision-making, and execution.

  • Work towards achieving Company, Division, and Department financial objectives.

  • Maintain the confidentiality of company and customer information.


“Must Haves”

  • At least 10 years of electrical metrology experience.

  • Minimum 3 years of management experience.

  • A successful track record of leadership, coaching, and mentoring.

  • Strong analytical skills, decisiveness, and results-oriented mindset.

  • Ability to lead and manage autonomously.

  • Proven ability to execute in a high-pressure and fast-paced environment.

  • Effective time management and prioritization skills.

  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.

  • Adept at interpreting internal and external quality/calibration requirements, specifications, policies, procedures, and standards.

  • In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 17025, ANSI/NCSL Z540-1-1994, and ANSI/NCSLI Z540.3-2006.

  • Proficiency with software systems.

  • Inherently customer-centric approach.


“Nice to Haves”

  • A Bachelor's Degree in an electronic or engineering discipline is preferred.

  • Military PMEL training is a plus.
