Job Description:

Catalyst Acoustics Group, its parent company of acoustic, seismic, vibration and noise control companies that together, offer the broadest portfolio of noise control solutions in the market today. The independent brands, channels to market, products and services offered by each business remain unique, while leveraging the deep functional expertise, broad channel reach, significant financial resources, and much larger scale of the combined Catalyst Acoustics Group. IAC Acoustics, a Catalyst Acoustics Group Company offers Acoustic metal solutions for Industrial, Architectural and Medical Applications. The industrial offering includes both in-plant and outdoor enclosures, outdoor noise barriers, anechoic chambers, Dyno Rooms and HVAC products. The architectural products include secure facilities, acoustical doors, windows, music practice rooms and studio packages. The Medical offering includes mini and full-size audiology booths and test chambers.

The Director will be responsible for leading the IAC Acoustics business and the management of distribution and direct end-user network, to ensure a cohesive and successful team that contributes to the development and execution of Catalyst’s goals; work collaboratively with functional leads and their teams to develop products, services and resources that provide industry-leading solutions to our customers; and apply the Catalyst principles to organizational initiatives and promote process simplification.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Establish long- and short-range goals and objectives for business development, revenue growth, increased profitability, and individual employee achievements.
  • Develop and deliver an overall business strategy, in alignment with objectives, centered on value-added customer service and product technical differentiation.
  • Develop and hold team accountable for sales strategies and specific initiatives to meet metrics for orders, releases, and shipments.
  • Maintain contact with key accounts and key distributors to understand customer needs, ensure satisfaction with our products and sales approach, and provide feedback to the organization.
  • Keep abreast of competitive activity to understand and enhance the position in the marketplace.
  • Maintain awareness of industry dynamics and changes in environment to plan proactively and adapt solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Establish a results-oriented management style that measures and evaluates individual performance against clearly defined accountable competencies, responsibilities, and objectives.
  • Ensure competency level of all employees is sufficient to be fully effective in their role.
  • Establish personal objectives and standards of performance for all roles.
  • Coach and develop talent, focusing on attracting and retaining the best talent available.
  • Coordinate with the functional teams in the business to ensure cross functional and cross business cooperation.
  • Ensure that all operational processes are at maximum efficiency, to the specified quality standards and drives continuous improvements.

Job Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering related area. Master’s Degree a plus.
  • Minimum of 8+ years in a senior managerial role, preferably in sales.
  • Hands on, results driven approach to achieving success.
  • Ability to set a vision and energize a team through inclusiveness and connection with people.
  • Commitment to develop talent.
  • Ability to use a data-driven approach to make decisions.
  • Channel management skills in both Direct and Distribution sales.
  • Strong financial and business acumen.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Must have exceptional collaboration and communication skills to work with multiple levels within the organization and across functional lines.
  • Able to operate independently with minimal supervision, receives general direction on a as needed basis.
  • Technical core credentials being south include a background in either project management or engineering.
  • Familiarity with construction and project-based jobs.
  • Highly tolerant with ambiguity and can problem solve to develop solutions.
