GIS Sales Engineer at Schneider Electric USA, Inc

For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $96,000 - $144,000 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.

The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Schneider Electric also offers a comprehensive benefits package to support our employees, inclusive of medical (with member reward points), dental, vision, and basic life insurance, Benefit Bucks (credits to apply towards your benefits) flexible work arrangements, paid family leaves, 401(k) + match, well-being and recognition (including service anniversary) programs, 12 holidays per year, 15 days of paid time off per year (pro-rated in the first year of employment based on start date), opportunity to purchase company stock (eligibility depends on start date), and military leave benefits.

The Schneider Electric Digital Grid Division is growing and has an outstanding opportunity for a motivated individual to assume the role of Sales Engineer. Schneider Electric provides utility solutions on top of Esri ' s ArcGIS Pro and Enterprise platform, and this person will specialize in demonstrating the ArcFM XI Solution to existing and prospective customers. Primary responsibilities will also include the configuration and management of various Sales Engineering databases and software, including Esri GIS desktop, server, and mobile applications.

Responsibilities


  • Development and presentation of in-person and online demonstrations of ArcFM software to meet client requirements, occasionally to large audiences

  • Support domestic and international conferences and demonstrations of software.

  • Preparation and configuration of Esri geodatabases and map services based on demonstration requirements.

  • Help promote the ArcFM XI solution to utilities and business partners.

  • Work closely with the account management team as well as international business partners.

  • Work closely with the product development team to review product functionality and direction

  • This position will require travel, both within US and internationally. Travel will typically not exceed 25% but extended travel with relatively short notice does occur. One (within North America) to two (international) weeks travel time is not uncommon for large RFP presentations.


  • BS degree in computer information systems, computer science, engineering, or geography. Relevant job experience will also be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • Experience with ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Enterprise is required.

  • Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills are required.

  • Ability to travel both within the US and internationally required.

  • Experience with commercial RDBMS such as Oracle, Postgres and SQL Server is preferred.

  • Technical fluency in English is required.

  • Technical fluency a second language (Spanish, French, German, Japanese) is a plus.

  • Experience with utilities or telecommunications is a plus.

  • Experience with Vertigis's Geocortex application suite is a plus.
