The purpose of this position is to interact with our guests and ensure they have a great experience when dining and meeting at the hotel. Banquet Servers in Training are responsible for positive guest interactions while training to serve guests in a friendly and efficient manner. At all times, servers in training are expected to be attentive to our guest's needs and make them feel welcome, comfortable, important, and relaxed.
Job Description
Key Training Functions
Learn the proper and timely set-up and execution of banquet events.
Assist in maintaining all equipment and facilities in an organized, clean, safe environment.
Set up for events, carry trays, serve guests, and clean up at the event's conclusion.
Set up can include putting out tablecloths and place settings, arranging table placement, and setting up a buffet.
Review Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) at the beginning of each shift to ensure rooms are set as contracted.
Assist in ensuring that the events are on time. Knowing when to make adjustments and relay that information to the appropriate personnel.
Pass any information that is needed to the next staff member on duty.
Ensure proper use, storage, and maintenance of all meeting room equipment. Ensure there is proper backup if any equipment is not properly functioning.
Communicate any areas of need, problems, and concerns from guests to Banquet Manager or Banquet Captain.
If no upcoming events, please have rooms in a readiness position for any possible site inspection.
Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently.
Understands and can communicate products and services available at the hotel.

Pay Range
Pay Rate $12.50 with $7 gratuity. Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and job-specific experience/overall experience.
