The Federal Reserve System serves as the central bank of the United States. This position is responsible for supporting the Federal Reserve System’s Research and Development around the future of money and payments.
Given the role of the US dollar and payment systems, the Federal Reserve System seeks to further understand the implications, costs, and benefits of the use of different technologies for the future of money and payments, notably as these relate to the roles of a central bank supporting the U.S. financial system. Responsibilities:
Direct the creation of the product roadmap, product vision, features, and designs
Is responsible for the successful completion of simultaneous complex projects that can involve many systems across the Fed
Experience working with Payment Gateways and Alternate Payment Methods required
Defining business requirements, facilitating UX design, assessing new third-party vendors and their integrations
Work with technology partners on the delivery of optimized customer-centric intuitive digital offerings through identified platforms
Collaborates internally with engineering, operations, legal, data science, development teams to lead backlog and release planning, incorporate market direction and sort through diverse requirements
Anticipate the impact of change and create an environment where change can be initiated with minimal disruptions and negative impact
Expertise in building a mature design system with consistent track record of organizational adoption and impact
Outstanding interpersonal communication, relationship management, and organizational skills.
Analytical, prioritization, and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated passion and curiosity for money and payments, financial markets, and the public mission of the Federal Reserve System.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree with concentration in computer science, management information systems or comparable technical field, or an equivalent experience.
Typically has 10+ years of relevant work experience with authoritative knowledge of one function/process/service, and 7 years of validated experience in leading teams
Deep knowledge and expertise of Fed’s money and payments R&D efforts currently underway
This role requires a strong product approach, a combination of business savvy, customer centricity and technical knowledge
Experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver successful product, preferably related to digital currency and other tokenized assets, application of smart contracts, wholesale settlement services, and ledger design
Data-driven Product Manager with a desired background leading financial goals that resolve success of product releases, with expertise not only in defining KPIs but also low-level metrics
Extensive experience working with FRFS product teams on collaborative outcomes.
Experience leading highly cross-functional, visible projects including regular engagement with senior leaders across the System.
Must be US Citizen or Green Card holder with intent to become a U.S. Citizen.
Base Salary Range Sr. Manager, Product Management: Min: $159,000 - Mid: $206,500 - Max: $254,100 (Location: Seattle)
Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographic and other market data.
