Program Controls Analyst Senior Principal - Planner/Scheduler

Working as a Program Planner/Scheduler is an exciting opportunity to become part of a high-tech team of people developing innovative products for the Aerospace and Defense industry. You will be responsible for developing a multi-year plan that the team must follow to produce the customer deliverable. You will support the Execution Areas with development of standard reports and custom reports as needed. This position will work from our Colorado location. What You'll Do
Review customer contract, statement-of-work and contract requirements and develop a schedule plan to meet requirements. Communicate plan to program team
Work with the Control Account Managers (CAM) and Integrated Product Team (IPT) Leads to determine resource needs to support the work
Lead and manage the development and implementation of the program baseline to meet the Earned Value Management (EVM) System Description requirements.
Lead the schedule effort for the Integrated Baseline Review (IBR) on the programs.
Analyze schedules, develop and issue all customer and management schedule reporting. Present schedule data as required
Participate as the scheduling subject matter expert for a portfolio of programs.
Facilitate scheduling discussions to create project schedules and determine relationships with other projects
Help technical experts establish milestones and provide support to monitor adherence to the IMS by identifying programmatic problems and providing recommended solutions
Recommend and lead scheduling best practices and process improvements
Work with the Strategic Business Unit (SBU) to determine the strategic objectives for the portfolio. Align programs and operations to the objectives.
Support the Program Management Office to achieve or exceed business objectives
Support development of programmatic opportunities/risks and their mitigation strategies.
Help coordinate the planning and setting of the baseline across the portfolio.
Perform what-if type scenarios for the schedules as issues arise; i.e. analyze funding constraints and program impacts across the portfolio.
Manage the detailed production schedules and ensure integration to the IMS.
Help with planning and coordination of proposal work within the portfolio.
Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
Perform other duties as necessary.
On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site three or more days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required. Working Conditions
Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
BS degree in related field plus 8 or more years of related experience.
Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master's Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
Experience developing/maintaining schedules on multiple programs using Microsoft Project.
Understanding of and 5 years or more experience working in an earned value environment.
Ability to engage with program teams to develop the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and activity dependencies that structure the IMS.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written for constant and consistent interaction with all departments and employee levels including customers.
Proficiency in program schedule baseline setup and maintenance.
Experience on proposal schedule development.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Aerospace and Defense experience.
Work in a Microsoft Project Server environment.
Pay Information
Hourly Range: $66.02/hr - $80.69/hr Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
