As an HME Quality Control Manager, you will bring a passion for excellence that ensures all HME products exceed customer expectations for quality and reliability. You will lead the implementation of quality assurance processes, oversee quality control activities, and manage a team of quality professionals. You are skilled in conducting audits, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborating with suppliers and cross-functional teams to integrate quality into all phases of the product life cycle. You will also be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our quality management systems that prevent, contain, and permanently correct quality issues.

Essential Job Functions

  • Lead and manage a team of quality professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and support while developing all team members through cross-training and continuous learning plans.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to develop and implement processes, procedures, policies, and controls that ensure all products and services meet or exceed customer expectations for quality and reliability.
  • Drive continuous improvement through trend reporting, pareto analysis, root cause/corrective action, and KPI/metrics management.
  • Perform internal and supplier audits of quality control processes, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring effective corrective actions are implemented.
  • Identify potential quality risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Work with suppliers and vendors to ensure that raw materials and components meet established quality standards.
  • Work with engineering teams to ensure products and services are designed for quality and drive improvements to quality assurance lab validation testing.
  • Manage and maintain quality control documentation, ensuring that all necessary records and reports are accurate, up-to-date, and followed.
  • Actively research and stay current on quality trends and best practices, including emerging technologies, to continually improve processes and standards within the organization.
  • Prepare reports for management on quality system performance and perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Science or Engineering field required. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education.
  • At least 8 years quality management experience, preferably in manufacturing, ideally electronics manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated experience of quality management from cradle to grave for a product/service.
  • Ability to drive a culture of continuous improvement & operational excellence.
  • Ability to work and excel within a fast paced, dynamic, and constantly changing work environment.
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to set priorities, complete crucial tasks on time, keep deadlines and pay close attention to detail.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification or higher - preferred.
  • ASQ Certification - preferred.
  • Experience with quality/reliability tools and concepts (DFX, APQP, FMEA, MTBF, SPC, ISO2859 statistical sampling inspections, HALT/HASS, root cause/corrective action, Calibration, MRB, etc).
  • Software: MS suite, ERP, MES, PLM, Metrology, Audit Management, Lab Management, Data Analysis and Visualization tools.
  • Occasional travel as required, with ability to travel globally.
