Overview
The Operations Specialist, Journeyman is a staff member position within the Operations Section at Field Office Fort Hood (FOFH). FOFH is the executing arm for Product Manager (PdM) Fielding and Training (F&T) within the Program Management (PM) office for Distributed Common Ground System-Army (PM DCGS-A). The FOFH mission is to field, train, and sustain DCGS-A systems and training as directed by PM DCGS-A and Headquarters Department of the Army G8 (HQDA G8) on location in Fort Hood TX.
As an Operations Specialist, Journeyman you will be responsible for performing knowledge management and utilizing automation and MS Office suite of applications in support of the Operations Section and FOFH mission. Additionally, you will aide in the planning, resourcing, staffing, execution, and support of:
DCGS-A New Equipment Fielding (NEF).
DCGS-A New Equipment Training (NET).
Sustainment of DCGS-A systems and training.
Plans, orders, instructions, and all contingency/crisis operations.
All other tasks as directed by the Operations Manager and FOFH key leadership.
Perform knowledge management and utilize automation and MS Office suite of applications in support of the Operations section and FOFH mission

DCGS-A New Equipment Training (NET).
Sustainment of DCGS-A material systems and training.
Plans, orders, instructions, and all contingency/crisis operations.

Responsibilities
This position requires Bachelor's Degree with some technical concentration plus 5 years of relevant experience. 8 years of sirect relevant experience may be substituted for education.
Experience in operations, planning or acquisition within the Department of Defense.
Fundamental understanding of military organizational dynamics.
Must be able to maintain a TS/SCI clearance.
Working knowledge of the MS Office suite of software.
Knowledge of DCGS-A Family of Systems.
A proven track record of understanding systems analysis, management of organizations, training and training management, and an understanding of intelligence systems and capabilities.
Must have a detailed understanding of fielding operations and have a proven ability to plan and execute fielding of intelligence systems.
The preferred candidate must have the ability to understand and implement logistics program activities including ILS, technical documentation; assist in coordination efforts of subcontractors and field service personnel; resolve logistics problems.
Experience compiling data and preparing reports and schedules.
Experience in providing briefings and presentations, both in-person and by leveraging technology such as Video Teleconferences.
Qualifications
Detailed knowledge of program fielding, installation, operation, training and direct support to customers in diverse environments is also plus.
