Shermco Industries, Inc. is seeking an HR Operations Analyst

HR Operations & Compliance Manager

The HR Operations & Compliance Manager is a critical position that will support the HR team in ongoing projects and initiatives. This position will oversee day to day operations of the HR Operations team and will be a working member of this team with individual contributor duties. This individual will ensure smooth execution of HR processes and will assist in automating existing manual activities. This role will also support new employee onboarding and the HR analytics team

Responsibilities:


  • Team management: lead and supervise a team of HR staff, assign tasks, coach, performance evaluation, and address employee concerns
  • Employee data Ownership: Ensure all data is properly entered into the system and any missing information is captured in a timely manner. Assists with routine audits and troubleshooting to correct and maintain accurate HR data within HR systems. Generate key reports and workforce analytics to assist in making business decisions. Serve as back-up for new employee and benefits administration.
  • Manages employee schedules and time off in accordance with company policies
  • Responsible for ensuring that the organization's human resource policies and practices are compliant with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Monitor compliance with employment laws, including data privacy, anti-discrimination, and labor regulations
  • Enforce company HR policies and procedures, providing guidance and clarification to employees and managers
  • Maintain accurate employee records
  • Project Management: Provide support to leadership on a variety of projects, including reporting, project status updates, and developing presentations. Act as key contributor to our HR projects and initiatives. Work with the HR Business partners to resolve critical and routine issues.
  • Provide critical support to the larger HR team by ensuring all transactions are properly loaded into the companies HRIS
  • Process ownership: Ensure processes are properly documented and refined and ensure the HR team members are fully aware of the internal processes. Identify opportunities to streamline processes, and when possible, automate them
  • Manage compliance audits and lead internal investigations regarding compliance issues
  • Conduct regular HR compliance audits to ensure adherence to internal policies and external regulations
  • Works closely with HR Leadership, legal counsel, and other key stakeholders to mitigate compliance risk and promote a culture of ethical business practices
  • Ensure federal compliance of AAP and EEO regulations
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and reports, including compliance reports and policy documentation
  • Generate regular reports on HR metrics
  • Support new employee onboarding ad ensure all new employees are set up correctly in the HRIS
  • Partners with HR Operations Director to set goals and objectives for HR Operations team.
  • Tracks & reports progress on team goals and objectives
  • Provide support and oversight for company drug screen consortium and ensure all sit specific trainings are complete
  • Delegate tasks through management of corporate HR inbox.
  • Supper HR Leadership team through ad hoc requests

Qualifications:

  • Strong HR knowledge: comprehensive understanding of employment laws, HR best practices, and relevant compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem resolution skills
  • Detail-oriented and able to perform in fast-paced environment
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel
  • Experience in Ceridian Dayforce strongly preferred
  • Project experience including developing project plans, identifying stakeholders, preparing corresponding communications, identifying milestones, deadlines, and metrics to assess outcomes/results
  • Continuous improvement training/Mindset
