Position: Senior Manager I, Product Management
Job Location: 702 SW 8th Street, Bentonville, AR 72712
Duties: Develop technical product specifications for the architecture of underlying platform components by using artifacts such as systems flows, product requirement documents and logical data models. Manage the evolution of a component of an ecommerce platform by collaborating with architects, services product managers and VP of Platform architecture to develop, maintain and evangelize the technical product roadmap associated to his/her area. Develop and champion a product strategy, and roadmap for a specific platform product area in support of architectural vision and principles established by the leadership by leveraging consumer insights, competitive analysis and insights of emerging technologies to identify new product opportunities and enhancements. Work with cross-functional teams (engineering, architecture, user experience design, content strategy, program management, support) to build and evaluate business cases to support product investment decisions. Support product implementation and deployment by engaging with Engineering, Design and Program Managers during implementation to answer questions and make scope trade-off decisions. Work closely with services product managers to launch products on top of foundational components of the platform and ensure their adoption. Coordinate post-launch activities to validate that the product works as designed and that acceptance was successful. Manage development of training materials; train and support users on new product features; and define, track and improve key product metrics. Drive the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; develop and communicate business plans and priorities. Responsible for design functions and feature that remove barriers and obstacles that could impact product performance; identify and measure progress against performance standards.
Minimum education and experience required
: Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field plus 5 years of experience in product management or related experience; OR Master's degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field plus 2 years of experience in product management or related experience.
Skills Required: Must have experience with: Querying and generating reports on Google Cloud Platform - Big Query to perform adhoc analysis to respond to questions raised by clients; Dashboarding on Data Studio, Power BI and Tableau to build quick executive reports on a need basis, and perform validations of application metrics across products; Design solutions for the products, by considering JAVA Integration layer architectures and REST APIs; Querying on Oracle Database to perform analysis on eCommerce data which is maintained here; Ensuring both internal and government regulated data privacy and security policies are followed across all data product solutions we build for the enterprise; Perform data analysis on Hadoop Data Platforms using Hive querying and/or Data Discovery tool; PL/SQL to execute logics and generate results by connecting to the various databases involved in the data ecosystem of the enterprise; Azure Cloud Databricks experience to access and work with stakeholders who have their data in Azure cloud; Lead product ideation, research, planning prototyping and sourcing data to deliver new product; Develop product vision and strategy by conducting strategic reviews; Ensure that a return on investment (ROI) is defined for every product which is being developed, to be able to quantify the benefits which will be realized; Collaborate cross functionally with design, engineering, go-to market, and account teams to identify and deliver new products/features; Develop and execute detailed product roadmaps using agile methodology; Program Management experience to keep track of all dependencies needed for the products being developed; Utilize JIRA for product management by creating appropriate user stories, and ensure product vision is communicated across to engineers for development.
