Job Description:


Job Summary:




As an Accounting Clerk, you will support the daily operations of our finance department by performing various clerical and accounting duties. You will assist in processing financial transactions, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.




Key Responsibilities:





  • Accounts Payable & Receivable: Assist in processing invoices, payments, and receipts. Monitor outstanding payments and follow up with vendors and customers as necessary.


  • Bank Reconciliations: Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial records.


  • Data Entry: Enter financial transactions into accounting software and maintain accurate records of all financial activities.


  • Filing and Documentation: Maintain organized filing systems for invoices, receipts, and other financial documentation. Ensure all records are easily accessible for audits.


  • Expense Reports: Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.


  • Payroll Support: Assist with payroll processing by gathering timesheet data, verifying accuracy, and preparing necessary reports.


  • Reports and Statements: Prepare and assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and other accounting documents as needed.


  • General Accounting Support: Provide general accounting support to senior accountants and assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.



Qualifications:





  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting or clerical role, preferably within a corporate setting.


  • Skills:

    • Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles.

    • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

    • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

    • Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality.




  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in accounting or related field preferred.


  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
