Main Responsibilities:


The US Medical Operations Manager will oversee Sanofi Vaccines Medical operations, budget, governance, digital and other project management, and SBO initiatives. They are responsible for analyzing business gaps, identifying feasible transformative solutions, and developing and executing innovative plans to optimize operational efficiency.



Medical Operations





  • Lead strategic budget management by developing forecasting models, tracking progress against financial targets, and implementing reconciliation and reporting processes. Identify areas for process improvement and recommend strategies to optimize budget performance, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and proactively addressing any gaps in target achievement.






  • Oversee internal control, audit, and inspection readiness, and develop remediation/action plans as needed in concert with RMGO.






  • Act as focal point for local deployment of Vaccines or enterprise-wide digital tools, e.g., Plai, to help the Medical team leverage essential resources for executing medical activities. Develop and recommend strategies based on information and insights to optimize medical initiatives and outcomes, specifically supporting our ambition to be the first bio pharma company powered by AI at scale.






  • Develop strategies for continuous process improvement and simplification to support and advance business objectives related to Medical activities.






  • Develop and own strategic knowledge-sharing processes to drive alignment across teams, managing and executing transversal and global projects to enhance collaboration and achieve organizational goals.






  • Lead and develop the procurement-to-payment process, contracting, and tiering strategies, while providing comprehensive support for grants and donations management, Transfer of Value, including overseeing submissions, approvals, POs, contracts, invoicing, payments, documentation, reconciliation, and archiving. Drive the optimization and ownership of these processes to ensure efficiency, compliance, and seamless execution."






  • Establish and execute a rapid plan to move all appropriate work to SBO team and then assume a monitoring role to ensure appropriate implementation.






  • Act as SBO Liaison, ensuring strong connection, clear expectations, and delivery on commitment, and movement of repetitive and tactical work to SBO team in collaboration NA Medical Leadership.





Internal Communication and Collaboration





  • Represent Sanofi Vaccines Medical in matters of internal operational excellence task forces (e.g., Compliance Working Group; MRPQ Committee)






  • Liaise with North American Medical operations colleagues and GBU colleagues to ensure successful development and execution for NA Medical in accordance with regulatory and company policies.






  • Liaise with North American Training Director to develop and execute US Medical onboarding programs for new hires.





Project Management





  • Develop and implement strategic project management frameworks to support Medical initiatives, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives, driving the successful execution of key projects, and distributing regular project status reports to stakeholders.






  • Develop and drive project management and operational initiatives for the NA Medical Team, proactively identifying and addressing emerging needs to enhance team performance and efficiency, ensuring adherence to strong methodologies, processes, and standards.






  • Implement tools and processes for tracking project performance against key metrics (e.g., scope, schedule, budget, quality) and develop strategies to address gaps, recommending and executing corrective actions to ensure project success.





About You




Requirements



Education/Experience/Certification




Basic Qualifications:





  • Associate degree with significant project management and industry experience will be considered. Bachelor of Science degree preferred.


  • 2+ years of project management support in the pharmaceutical industry

  • Possess a strategic mindset, strong project management skills, and have the ability to drive continuous improvement and alignment across teams while ensuring compliance and operational excellence


  • Ability to track financial performance and identify areas for budget optimization.


  • Proficient in deploying enterprise-wide digital tools and develop strategies based on insights to support business objectives.


  • Skilled in leveraging AI and other technologies to support the organization's digital ambitions.


  • Strong understanding of internal control, audit, and inspection readiness


  • Proficiency in developing and implementing strong methodologies and standards to ensure project success.


  • Competence in developing and owning knowledge-sharing processes to promote team alignment.


  • Effective liaison with internal teams, including Medical Operations, NA Medical Leadership, and other business units.


  • Competence in procurement to payment processing, contracting, grants, and donations management.


  • Ability to develop rapid plans for transferring repetitive tasks to other teams, assuming a monitoring role for effective implementation.


  • Strong advocate for using data-driven insights to inform strategies and drive business results.
