Join our team of competent and compassionate professionals as an entry level Recovery Specialist in the Dorchester Family Center program at Behavioral Health Network!
Your experience, knowledge and great skills will support the Dorchester Family Center program with the following:
Providing direct substance use recovery services and ensure the well-being of individuals served.
Overseeing client activities, ensuring accurate and timely documentation, and being responsible for food shopping.
Providing crisis intervention and emergency services as needed.
Transporting clients in their own registered and insured vehicle or program van.
Adhering to regulations and requirements of licensing and funding sources.
Who are we?
The Dorchester Family Center provides long-term residential family substance use treatment for women and their children of all ages, from newborns to teens. The diverse, experienced team at the Dorchester Family Center provides a variety of substance use recovery services including individual and group counseling, therapy and psycho-educational groups, individualized treatments plans, and medical and mental health referrals, among others. Our goal is to provide a safe and sober living environment to allow successful family reunification and long-term family stabilization.

What are we looking for in a Recovery Specialist?
High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
Valid driver's license (required).
Lived or Life experience with Recovery or Substance Use Disorders (strongly preferred)
Customer Service Experience in retail, medical, hospitality or related fields preferred
Be Compassionate, empathic, caring towards individuals going through recovery
Commitment to client empowerment, human rights, and community integration.
Be a team player, willing to work with a diverse population
Be willing to work in Hyde Park in Dec 2024(or sooner)
