Job Description:

In support of Combat Support Systems, we are seeking a Budget Analyst supporting Corrosion and Combat Support Systems and multiple Acquisition Categories (ACATs) and Abbreviated Acquisition Programs (AAPs). The Budget Analyst shall support the program in all stages of product lifecycle management events; research and development; familiarization with acquisition policy/ principles and interfacing with government principles.

Job Duties:

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepare Contract Corrosion Repair work at Camp Pendleton, CA.
  • Prepare cost benefit of corrosion servicing equipment on the Do Not Service (DNS) list.
  • Understand and review Corrosion prevention and its relationship to readiness.
  • Develop cost benefit of the Enhanced-Corrosion Service Team (E-CST) repairing equipment.
  • Deliver accurate, comprehensive products ahead of schedule.
  • Conduct peer reviews of both formal and informal deliverables prior to submission.
  • Maintain clear, transparent data and communicate with all parties.
  • Submit timely, accurate invoices that include all appropriate details to customers.
  • Comply with PM CSS Travel Process to plan and report travel.
  • Perform research and analysis of the appropriations for RDT&E; PMC; O&M appropriations.
  • Develop and draft reports, documents and briefs with program inputs per programmatic requirements using PBIS, DAI, Power BI and CERBERUS.
  • Update and deliver Budget Execution Summaries reflecting real-time status of commitments, obligations, and expenditures for multi-year appropriations at the BLI and sub-head level.
  • Evaluate and provide analysis and recommendations on the PPBE process and the DAR-Q research and closeout process.
  • prepare budget graphs, metrics, spreadsheets, analytical reports, and upload all information onto the PfM LCES SharePoint portal for tracking.
  • Provide recommendations based on program input in response to reporting requirements, funding taskers, PfM and Command taskers and PM reviews.
  • Monitor, review, analyze and update spreadsheets to PM format.
  • Recommend, update and draft funding execution variance explanations for phasing plans for the USMC Comptroller.


Education:

  • BA/BS Degree from an accredited college/university, preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline


Skills/Experience:

  • Ten (10) years of related progressive professional work experience in Budget Analyst with finance, Life-Cycle Logistics planning and management with a minimum of four (4) years of experience in at least two directly related technological areas, including experience in all phases of finance, logistics acquisition and logistics planning
  • Excellent written/oral communication skills required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to perform detail-oriented work under strict deadlines
