This is a promising job opportunity for a Senior Estimator / Estimator with extensive experience in heavy civil construction. The position is on-premise and in-person, offering the chance to work closely with senior experienced staff who will mentor, teach, and guide you.
Your new role:
• Prepare detailed takeoffs and assist in price preparation using HCSS.
• Perform pre-construction duties and meetings with clients, owners, subcontractors, and engineers.
• Understand project logistics, schedules, and send requests for quotes to vendors and subcontractors.
• Determine labor and equipment costs, and prepare accurate quantity takeoffs and material pricing.
• Review and understand bid documents, assess project risks, and compare competitive bids.
• Work within various disciplines including utility, excavation, earthwork, concrete, structural steel, and architectural work.
• Use software (HCSS, AgTek) to create estimates and prepare bid submission packages.
What you'll need to succeed:
• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Construction Engineering, or equivalent working experience.
• Extensive knowledge of construction costs and engineering principles.
• Advanced computer skills with estimating software (HCSS experience is a plus).
• Effective presentation skills.
• Knowledge of on-screen take-off software (HCSS, Bluebeam, or Agtek earthwork takeoff software is a plus).
• Extensive experience with Heavy Civil Construction Projects (Highway and Road; Watermains, Sewer Pipes, Drainage, resurfacing, or any related Heavy Civil Infrastructure background).
• Well organized, flexible, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

• $180,000-$210,000 (Salary based on experience).
