JOB DESCRIPTION:

Role Summary:

Production Lead to support Warehouse Stockroom & Receiving. Responsible for staging materials for Production and Project orders. Processing materials for incoming receiving and quality non-conformances, help with training and ensure EHS compliance, drive performance to maintain dock to stock time and provide on the floor support as required. In the roll you will demonstrate accountability functional, business and team development that meet or exceed business objectives.

Essential Responsibilities • Implement the Warehouse plans as established by the Production Scheduling

Operation, specifically to materials availability and associated work orders,

utilizing lean processes that will assure highest possible quality products at the

lowest possible cost, delivered in accordance to schedule commitments

• Provide leadership in the attainment of goals with respect to safety, quality, cost,

utilization, efficiency, on time delivery and compliance.

• Monitor production progress and provide training as required.

• Ensure communication of key business / customer issues to employees

• Ensure assigned employees are aware / comply with all KB Signaling,

government, and customer policies, procedures, rules and regulations where

applicable

• Stock and retrieve boxes and parts of various shapes and sizes from indoor and

outdoor storage areas

• Communicate in a team environment

• Load and unload trucks

• Use pallet jacks and material movement devices for retrieval and moving of items

• Pack product for shipping in accordance with customer requirements, business

processes, and applicable regulations

• Utilize pad-pack machines, shrink wrap machines, fork lifts,

and other tools / equipment, as required

• Use computer applications to ship confirm, run packing slips, and other tasks

related to shipping, receiving and stockroom

• Produce labels using computer programs

• Load trucks both manually and with use of a fork-lift

Eligibility Requirements -Minimum 5 years experience

• High School Diploma / GED

• Previous experience in a shipping, receiving, manufacturing, stockroom, and/or

warehouse setting

• Willingness and ability to use measuring and wiring tools, as required by the job

• Willingness and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Willingness and ability to stand on feet and walk 8 hours

Desired Characteristics • Strong oral and written communication skills

• Strong ability in computer systems including SAP

• Ability to develop and motivate a high involvement team through commitment to

meeting customer and organizational goals

• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

• Strong problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to identify critical

issues

• Knowledge of the disciplines of Warehouse management such as production and

inventory control, lean / APSYS

• Strong propensity for excelling in a demanding environment

Qualifications/Requirements • Willingness and ability to bend, stoop, squat, stretch, and reach

• Willingness and ability to work overtime, as required

• Willingness and ability to work with hands extended above head

• Willingness and ability to perform work while standing on a ladder

• Willingness and ability to stand on feet and walk to perform all physical

requirements of the job for an 8-10 hour shift
