Your Role:
Review orders via SAP for daily/weekly shipments.
Accurately and efficiently prepare hazardous materials shipping documents both within and outside of SAP. (CFR49, IATA, IMDG regulations)
Complete required Safety Tasks monthly.
Complete required training on time for all safety and regulation related topics.
Create deliveries and build the shipment in SAP.
Print pick lists and work with operators to pull orders accurately and on time.
Supply carriers with transportation information as necessary for shipments.
Work with EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) concepts especially working with Freight Forwarder.
Perform secondary checks of staged shipments.
Work with and serve as a back-up for other Logistics Specialists within Customer Fulfillment.
Work with customer service on sales order data, expedites, and delivery schedules.
Schedule LTL (Less truckload) freight pickups according to customer delivery term requirements.
Manage and schedule FTL (Full truckload) and drayage moves with preferred carriers.
Coordinate inbound loads with Dock Supervisor for coverage scheduling.
Monitor shared mailbox and react with urgency to any shipping related request or expedite from Customer Service, Material Planner, or any other Supply Chain Partner.
File and maintain shipping paperwork.
Run Control reports and maintain operational discipline.
Comply with OTIF KPI to ensure Late Order Notifications are sent timely and ensure Customer Fulfillment engagement to proactively anticipate and prepare for late orders with customers.
Who You Are:
Minimum Qualifications:
2+ years' experience working in logistics or transportation.
High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications:
Good communication and strong organization.
Working knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office suite.
Ability to manage multiple priorities.
