Hours: 8:00-5:00, scheduled in advance for 1-2 evenings "late closer" until max 6:00pm, 1 hour lunch break
Days of the week they'll work: Monday through Friday
Type of certification required: Registered Nurse license in CT
Work type: Contract
This job will have the following responsibilities:
Support the care team and its patients by providing and documenting nursing care following established standards and practices. Document all patient interactions and other clinical activities accurately and in a timely manner in the electronic health record (EHR)
Triage patients according to approved protocols and consistent with ProHealth?s Appointment and Scheduling Guidelines. Answer and document patient phone calls; take complete messages and route to providers as needed using the EHR
Carry out standing orders (i.e., authorizing prescription refills and ordering tests) consistent with ProHealth's policies and procedures. Educate patients regarding their illness or injury and provide instruction regarding self-management of their condition.
Act as a member of the care team, including preparing patients to be seen by collecting and recording (as applicable): Height and weight, Temperature, Current medications and Chief complaint and history. Provide and document patient care such as giving injections and performing preventive screenings.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Active CT Registered Nurse license
Family practice nursing experience
Phone triage experience
Experience working on an electronic health record and knowledge of medical terminology
Experience administering immunizations and injections
