Job Description:






Responsibilities



Manage senior pursuit strategist(s) and pursuit strategist(s)


  • Coach senior pursuit strategist(s) and pursuit strategist(s)

  • Oversee career development

  • Support pursuit strategists with proposal strategy and solutions using the firm's sales methodology and pursuit planning and development processes



Lead/oversee large pursuits


  • Project manage the pursuit process

  • Lead proposal kickoff strategy session with pursuit stakeholders (principals)

  • Develop and customize proposal and presentation deliverables

  • Facilitate and participate in win strategy and presentation discussions



Manage processes and procedures for assigned teams


  • Oversee pursuit strategy

  • Oversee and follow processes for the execution of the entire proposal process from initial pursuit materials through to final proposal and presentation deliverables

  • Supervise workflow, and kickoff meetings

  • Collaborate with practice marketers and pursuit strategy leadership to manage content, enhance the endorsements library and develop templates

  • Develop standard templates, as required

  • Manage QC of deliverables

  • Track, measure, analyze and report on pursuit activities and results

  • Stay current with market trends and competitive research and implement best practices



Maintain and expand knowledge base in proposal management and in the services we provide


  • Contribute to the pursuit strategy team's innovation initiatives or SME roles

  • Obtain and/or maintain Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) certification



Provide other pursuit strategy and marketing support as needed



Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, marketing, communications or a related field

  • Preferred eight years of proven proposal management and proposal development with direct management of proposal professionals and proposal operations preferred

  • Advanced writing, proofreading, interpersonal and verbal communication skills

  • Executive presence, strong leadership skills and the ability to influence others

  • Excellent project management skills to balance multiple, time-sensitive priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment

  • Ability to understand complex services and value propositions and communicate them in succinct, persuasive written responses

  • Strong working knowledge of a professional services organizations preferred

  • Superior skills in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, particularly using editing/collaborating functions

  • Experience with Loopio (or other proposal automation systems) and APMP proposal management practices
