This position is responsible to diagnose issues, adjust, repair, and perform routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment while complying with Department of Transportation rules and regulations, maintaining a safe work environment, and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Must be able to communicate and interface with management and other personnel.
Capable of reading & following instructions as well as technical manuals.
Capable of learning skills in welding, hydraulics, power transmissions and machine tool practices.
Must be willing to be a back-up CDL driver which requires CDL certification with Tyson Foods.
Knowledge of DOT requirements relating to equipment maintenance.
Require standing on hard surface for up to 12 hours per day. Work is performed in a noisy work environment with temperature ranging from 40 to 90 degrees.
Must have the ability to lift, push, and pull up to 70 lbs. occasionally and 10 lbs.
