Job Summary:

Manage and coordinate wellness programs, events, and services for staff and faculty. Develops programs that raise awareness and promotes maintaining a healthy lifestyle.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Develop and implement wellness programming consistent with the goals of the university's employee wellness and health promotion programs.

  • Plan and coordinate wellness events, programs, and services to address employee health risks to include but not limited to health screenings, health fairs, webinars, and workshops.

  • Create and distribute communications, marketing material, and promotional activities for wellness events.

  • Develop and maintain quantitative metrics and reports related to programs and assist in determining the effectiveness of programs in achieving stated goals; analyze quantitative data to gain insight and make recommendations regarding employee wellness programming and initiatives.

  • Recommend ways to increase and sustain employee participation in programs; assist in the development of incentives based on industry best practices to encourage lasting commitments to primary health and wellness issues.

  • Keep abreast of current national wellness and wellbeing initiatives, trends, and activities.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Physical Education, Health and Kinesiology or a related field and two (2) years of experience in workplace wellness/health program planning, health training, program development or related experience.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Four (4) years of years of experience in workplace wellness/health program planning, health training, program development or related experience.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:



  • Knowledge of health and wellness programs and methods of encouraging participation.

  • Skilled in public speaking.

  • Knowledge of health change theories and their applications.

  • Skilled in organizing events, projects, and information.

  • Skilled in the utilization of data analytic tools .

  • Ability to interact with a diverse population.

  • Collecting and analyzing quantitative data and preparing report.

  • Ability to multi-task while managing multiple projects and assignment.

  • Skilled in Microsoft Office suite.


Other Requirements :

Light work occasionally exerting force to move objects.
