Job DescriptionCSCI Consulting is looking for a Senior Developer with at least 5 years of Mainframe IDMS and COBOL experience to support a federal project.Responsibilities
Analyzes functional and technical requirements of proposed or existing IT systems to determine the technical development or modification necessary to meet mission objectives.
Prepares system change/programming specifications, and specifies programming instructions, inputs and outputs, structures, and other analytical products to document the functional and technical requirements.
Prepares technical design documents and participates in critical design reviews to study and verify impacts on current systems.
Analyzes and resolves system or software failures.
Prepares and executes tests for system or subsystem software validation.
Minimum Requirements
5 years experience in Mainframe IDMS and COBOL.
A degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Ability to work with clients to understand their needs.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience with DoD financial systems.
Familiarity of Standard Financial Information Structure (SFIS) and Standard Line of Accounting (SLOA).
Experience with Endevor.
Capability to work in a team environment, as well as independently.
Ability to maintain a positive relationship with customers and other vendors.
Demonstrated ability to comply with data standards and policies.
Possess motivation to learn new technologies and methodologies that demonstrate value.
