Job Description:

The Industrial Engineering Manager will develop, structure, and lead a team of engineers and analysts supporting continuous improvement programs and strategies for all North America Distribution Centers. The manager will collaborate with Project Engineering, Facilities, and Operations teams to improve productivity and process efficiency.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO

Demonstrates proficiency with project management tools and knowledge in distribution center operation, including evaluating existing operations and identify procedures to improve productivity and process efficiency with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, and fosters a culture of continuous improvement.

Facility Optimization: Improving metrics, systems, safety, and quality for Deckers North America distribution centers. Maintain facility layout of material handling equipment, storage, and workspace using AutoCAD/AutoCAD LT.

Collaboration: Partner with Engineering, Facilities, and Operations teams to improve productivity and process efficiency.

Continuous Improvement Leadership: Create and lead projects with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to address gaps and improve process efficiency. Establish and maintain standards using methods, cycle frequency and time study analysis across all operational processes.

Training and Facilitation: Lead Lean training sessions and rapid improvement events to spread knowledge across the organization.

Process Analysis: In-depth analysis of complex operations and processes to identify improvement opportunities. Identify operational bottlenecks and develop, analyze, and present solutions.

Certifications and Audit Management: Manage compliance with audits and certifications, ensuring cycle awareness and readiness.

Team Leadership: Facilitate business teams and develop team members by recognizing strong performers and coach others to improve.

Green Initiatives: Support environmental sustainability efforts in line with corporate goals.

Safety and Efficiency: Ensure that operations run safely and efficiently, while fostering a culture of recognition and coaching.

% OF TIME ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

50% The IE Manager supports develops and manages workforce needs, controls expenses. Manage continuous improvement projects that underpin the annual strategic pillars, staying on top of status, signaling bottlenecks and proposing creative solutions to remove. Craft regular presentations to senior management communicating key take-aways from multiple initiatives and offering data to support decisions to be made. Recommends and develops measurement plan to ensure improvements are repeatable and realized, supports with communication of workplace safety precautions. Ensuring compliance with safety and protocols for the departments . As the IE Manager you support and Working with Operational, Quality and Functional stakeholders, lead on the development of a prioritized project pipeline to deliver Cost of Quality (COQ) reduction goals

Education/Certifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent applied experience

• Ability to articulate complex solutions from gathered data and business information.

• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt Certified is preferred.

Work Experience:

• 5 years of experience in management, leadership, and technical roles in distribution center

• 5 years of experience in process design and redesign, work measurement, productivity improvement, cost reduction, and project implementation.

• Knowledge and or working experience with material handling automation.

• Working Knowledge and hands on experience of OSHA requirements for facilities areas, and or tasks

• Proven experience in conducting time studies job analysis and developing labor standards, process improvement initiatives, and network optimization projects.

• Excellent team building, project management and organizational skills.

• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

• Exceptional attention to detail.

• Ability to collaborate and contribute by one-self or in a team environment.

• Excellent verbal, written communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
