The Dosimetry Laboratory Technician is responsible for preparing and reading dosimetry.
The Dosimetry Laboratory Technician will prepare a dosimetry report for each sterilizer run.
Additionally, when a new batch of dosimeters is received the Dosimetry Laboratory Technician is responsible to calibrate/qualify every batch before use in sterilization process.
Dosimetry is read by the Dosimetry Laboratory Technician using a spectrometer or applicable equipment, ensuring this maintains a calibration range.
The Dosimetry Laboratory Technician is responsible for all checks; daily, weekly, monthly; for the spectrophotometers.
The Dosimetry Laboratory Technician is responsible for following established Work Instructions and Standards.
The Dosimetry Laboratory Technician must exercise accuracy in performing test procedures and must keep accurate records.
All activities align with global strategies, guidance, and deployment of initiatives, including site level project and replication plans.

Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for placing individual dosimeter in product
Maintaining an inventory of dosimet ers , sets of dosimet ers prepared for sterilization to use in each sterilizer run
Responsible for reading each set /batch of dosimetry
Updating the sterilization trend data in b ase/system/share point (as applicable )
A ctively track progress on tasks and communicate updates to functional or project manager and other key stakeholders as designated
Attend, actively participate in, and successfully complete training sessions as needed or specified.
Other duties as assigned ( supporting site initia tives, internal or external audits, as part of audit team members )
Additionally:
Support and act a point of contact person for audits on Laboratory. P rovid e information in a timely manner, with relevant system evidence ( e.g., Master data export, direct screen sharing with auditors, etc . ).

Education and Experience:
High School diploma or GED rquired ; bachelor's degree in rel evant scientific discipline and 3+ years of previous laboratory experience preferred.
Computer Skills Excel , Word
High degree of discipline and demonstrates attention to detail.
Solid understanding of product specifications , a bility to read, write and follow w ork Instructions
Thorough understanding of quality procedures and possess a detailed knowledge of product components and their impact on Sterilization and use of the finished product is desirable.
Good understanding of requirements, QSRs, GLPs, ISO, AAMI, and FDA Guidelines, as well as any other regulations / requirements pertaining to the laboratory.
Process control tools, methods and inspection equipment/tools ; g ood laboratory skills, along with a working knowledge of laboratory bench methods and equipment.
Proven organizational skills and ability to plan + organize work efficiently .
Strong verbal, communication and interpersonal skills are required : capacity to listen and understand users and stakeholder's expectations
Must be able to work independently , but work in team environment as needed it, give and receive feedback.
Demonstrates personal drive and accountability to meet deadlines per project plan .
Demonstrates ability to solve problems, effectively manage risks and /or escalate as needed within established governance framework , strong sense of urgency.
Ability to provide operational support and autonomously address questions / inquiries from various plant (site) associates.
Maintains professional working knowledge and key skills expertise current ( up to date ) .
Others:
Manual dexterity with small film dosimeters, to place and pull in product without damage
Travel:
Travel may be required for training and/or development purposes and based on business needs .
