General Function:
Knowledge of VTC systems and how to operate, or interest in learning.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Teams.
Must have strong customer service experience and communications skills and able to interact professionally with end users.
Must monitor equipment to ensure all equipment is upgraded to latest version and will ensure all Unified Communications (UC) equipment is compliant with all applicable regulations, including DISA STIGS and TEMPEST.
Assist with the maintenance of the COMSEC inventory for AFNWC/NC as well as all required related documentation.
May also be expected to be appointed as alternate Telephone Control Officer (TCO) to assist with Voice over Internet Protocol phones (vIPers).
Assist with Unified Communications Tasks as required.
This includes aiding with operations and maintenance of all phones and VTCs.
Must have a self-starter attitude.
Experience with common VTC codecs such as Polycom and Cisco.
Good organization skills and the able to manage time and priorities effectively.
Shall meet the Basic level qualification requirements for Technical Support Specialist (411) as outlined in DoD Cyber Workforce Framework - DoDI 8140.01, DoDI 8140.02, and DoDM 8140.03.
Perform Technical Support Specialist (411) Core/Additional Tasks and meet the KSAs as outlined in DoD Cyber Workforce Framework - DoDI 8140.01, DoDI 8140.02, and DoDM 8140.03.
Establish and maintain effective professional working relationships with co-workers, and customers.
Follow policies and procedures as described in corporate manuals and directives.
Attend work each day during scheduled work hours unless on approved travel or time off.
Perform occasional travel to contractor and customer sites, as required (see WORKING CONDITIONS below).
Work flexible hours, including occasional overtime.
Carry out other duties as may be assigned or requested.
Working Conditions
Some travel may be required, as needed.
Work is performed indoors with some potential risks to safety and health hazards related to electronics.
Qualifications:
Education/Certifications/Experience/Skills:
MA Degree and more than 10 years of related experience, OR, BA Degree and more than 15 years of experience related to the position requirements.
Must possess and maintain a government security clearance at the Top Secret-SCI Level.
Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft programs (including Excel, Word, Outlook)
Must be able to transport self to various facility sites, as required. If using own motor vehicle, must possess a valid driver's license and proof of insurance.
