JR133673 Manager Behavioral Health Services



Manager Behavioral Health Services -Onsite EAP: Responsible for the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and its Onsite Counselors fully dedicated to a particular California client company.



Location: This position will work in Sacramento, CA and/or other Central and Northern CA cities.



How will you make an impact:



  • Attend meetings with client company contact, Carelon Account Executive, and Carelon Dir of BH Programs.


  • Lead meetings with staff, including team meetings, clinical case consult, and 1:1 meetings.


  • Hire, train, coach, counsel, and evaluate performance of direct reports.


  • Manage a team of licensed clinicians and non-clinical support staff responsible for telephonic, video, and face-to-face crisis intervention, substance use/biopsychosocial assessments, mandatory substance recovery referrals, and organizational services (such as Management Consultations, Critical Incident Debriefings, Training Presentations, Promotional Events, and other support to site leadership and employees). Some limited after-hours coordination of critical incident response.


  • This team and its Manager connect members or providers with available resources (per BH benefits or EAP benefit plan) to optimize quality outcomes and cost-effective care; support quality improvement by identifying new business processes, recommend revisions to policies/procedures, and provide quality control to ensure adherence to the appropriate policy, best practices, relevant clinical standards, and contracts.


  • Manager leads development and maintenance of positive relationship with members, clients and providers; serves as a resource for direct reports, account management, privacy and compliance and infrastructure support teams.


  • Ensures staff adheres to accreditation guidelines.


  • Provides staff case audits, review of performance, productivity, and case management.


  • Learns client- and staff-specific details and processes. This may include periodic site visits in Central and Northern California.


  • Provides monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reports to account management and client company contact.


  • Maintains and strictly adheres to all legal, ethical and professional confidentiality standards and abides by HIPAA regulations.





Minimum requirements:



  • LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL FUNCTIONS: Requires current, active, unrestricted license such as LCSW (as applicable by state law and scope of practice), LMHC, LPCC (as allowed by applicable state laws), LMFT, or Clinical Psychologist to practice as a health professional within the scope of licensure in applicable states or territory of the United States.


  • Prior experience in Managed Care setting required.





Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:



  • Live and work within Central or Northern California.


  • Willing and able to travel periodically to Central and Northern California work sites.


  • Strong interpersonal skills, written- and verbal communication.


  • Prior experience in EAP setting.


  • Proficient in Adobe, MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and working within an Electronic Health Record.


  • Unrestricted California license.




For candidates working in person or remotely in the below location(s), the salary* range for this specific position is $ 116,160 to $139,392.


Locations: California.
