Position Summary:

Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker - Boca Raton, FL.

At the Louis and Anne Green Memory and Wellness Center of the Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing the incumbent functions as an integral member of an interprofessional team providing comprehensive memory/cognitive evaluations and supportive care. This position is under the supervision and in collaboration with the Director and Assistant Director of the MWC.

All clinical services are provided in accordance with established standards of practice and ethical professional conduct including adherence to HIPPA policies for protecting privacy and confidentiality, and in alignment with the philosophy of caring of the Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing.

Summary of Responsibilities:

Essential Clinical functions include (but not limited to):

• 
  

  Provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy.

  
  


• 
  

  Conduct informant and/or supervise patient/family interviews.

  
  


• 
  

  Participate in patient/family case conferences and development of diagnostic impressions and treatment recommendations.

  
  


• 
  

  Consult with treating providers as needed.

  
  


• 
  

  Provide timely, well-written clinical notes, including care plan.

  
  


• 
  

  Provide educational opportunities for students of multiple disciplines, including didactic lectures and field instructions for social work students (and other healthcare professional students).

  
  


• 
  

  Provide educational lectures to patients, families and the community at large.

  
  


• 
  

  Provide in-service training to staff of the Memory and Wellness Center.

  
  


• 
  

  Facilitate and expand family caregiver support groups.

  
  


• 
  

  Identify grant opportunities and assist with content development and research initiatives.

  
  


• 
  

  Provide memory screenings to the community, as needed.

  
  

Essential Adult Day Care Center functions include:

• 
  

  Assist with case management for participants of the Day Center.

  
  


• 
  

  Provide needs assessment and care consultation services to families/caregivers of Day Center participants.

  
  


• 
  

  Supervise bachelor's and/or master's level social work students providing services at the Day Center.

  
  


• 
  

  Attends monthly interprofessional team meetings.

  
  


• 
  

  Participate in the development of clinical policies and procedures and planning for the development of programs and services of the Center.

  
  


• 
  

  Participate in development and implementation of research, including translational research and grant projects protocols.

  
  


• 
  

  Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:Master of Social Work degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization required.


Active State of Florida Licensed Clinical Social Work License (LCSW) required.


Level II screening (background check as per AHCA requirements) required.
Salary:$34.00 per hour.

Location:Boca Raton
Work Days and Hours:Tuesday - Thursday, part time between the hours of 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. up to 24 hours per week.
