Position Summary:

Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Graduate Student Assistant, Global Academic Services - Boca Raton, FL.

Summary of Responsibilities:

  Assist with general office duties, including email correspondence, scanning, printing, processing documents, and running errands on campus.

  
  


• 
  

  Assist with processing international scholar and intern applications received through Global Services mailbox.

  
  


• 
  

  Learns Sunapsis software system used to manage international scholar data.

  
  


• 
  

  Gather, enter, or extract data and/or documents from various databases, spreadsheets, and information systems like Sunapsis.

  
  


• 
  

  Creates or updates exchange visitor profiles in Sunapsis system.

  
  


• 
  

  Provides general guidance to scholars and departments on DS2019 request, requirements and processes.

  
  


• 
  

  Supports international events and programming organized by Center for Global Engagement.

  
  


• 
  

  Assist with the onboarding of incoming scholars, including but not limited to coordinating orientation activities, collecting insurance information, and other immigration related documents.

  
  


• 
  

  Assist with file compliance for immigration purposes.

  
  


• 
  

  May aid in collecting documents for employment visa sponsorship cases.

  
  


• 
  

  Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:FAU degree-seeking graduate student with a minimum of five credit hours (or nine if international) and a minimum 3.0 GPA required.
Salary:$16.00 per hour.
College or Department:CGE: Global Academic Services
Location:Boca Raton
Work Days and Hours:Monday - Friday, part time between the hours of 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., up to 20 hours a week.
