A 500-bed tertiary care facility in Portland is looking for a contract CT Tech to work three 12-hour night shifts.

Weekly Pay Rate: $2,313
Job Summary:
Under the direct supervision of leadership, the CT technologist is responsible for operating and providing high quality computerized tomography to patients in a safe manner for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders. These cross-sectional images provide detailed information about soft tissues, blood vessels, and bones, which is essential for accurate diagnostics. CT CT Tech will position patients to ensure they receive the proper dose of radionuclides and perform the imaging procedure.
Skill Requirements:
Interpreting the orders provided by the physician or other prescribing medical professional
Explaining what will happen during the CT scan to patients
Positioning patients properly to take the necessary images
Administering IVs that contain contrast dyes to enhance imaging
Examining images to ensure they're usable
Updating patient medical information
Cleaning and maintaining CT scan equipment
Keeping inventory of CT scan supplies and making orders for supply restocks as required
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Perform computed tomography (CT) procedures
Position patients and answer any questions they have regarding the procedure
Ensure the proper dose of radionuclides are administered, starting IV lines if needed
Monitor patient discomfort throughout the procedure
Review images for quality
Accurately document the procedure and update patient records
Education, Certification, & Experience:
Provider BLS - American Heart Association
National Registered Technologist - Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists -OR- National Registered Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology
National Registered Technologist - Computed Tomography within 1 year of hire -OR-National Computed Tomography Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board within 1 year of hire.
Bachelor's Degree
1 year experience as a registered technologist performing CT scan and X-ray
Must be legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
