Provide technical leadership within a team developing complex integrations within an enterprise application environment in support of internal and external customers and partners. Responsibilities include analyzing requirements, understanding business processes and needs, and designing/building integration solutions to achieve business goals. Solutions usually involve integration of functionality across on-prem and cloud-based production platforms, business partner sources, and government sources. Projects are completed with cross-functional teams of IT peers and business partners. Manage time and expectations to ensure a high degree of stakeholder and user satisfaction.


The specific duties of Integration Software Developer III with PacificSource include the following:




  • Analyze and evaluate existing or proposed systems to design solutions to process data and provide integration with other systems or applications.

  • Utilize Visual Studio.NET languages (principally C#) and Microsoft Transact-SQL.

  • Assess user requirements and provide input to departments and other IT staff to improve user productivity.

  • Apply knowledge of software design and Object Oriented Programming principles.

  • Use structured code management best practices using Git, Team Foundation Server, or Azure DevOps.

  • Use of modeling workflow and business processes, as well as REST/SOAP API design and construction.

  • Utilize experience with synchronous and asynchronous integration patterns utilizing APIs and API management platforms, message/service bus approaches, queuing, etc.

  • Analyze, design, and create data integrations drawn from normalized databases, SSIS packages, NOSQL, JSON, and other sources.

  • Apply healthcare related data formats such as EDI, FHIR, and HL7.

  • Participate in broad information systems assignments requiring originality and ingenuity.

  • Responsible for accurate, reliable design, development, maintenance, and testing of applications.

  • Use of change control and production control for deployments.

  • Proactively identify, diagnose, and resolve potential and evident system problems. Top level escalation for troubleshooting support to other staff.

  • Design and apply new methods and procedures. Develop and test systems, programs, workflows, reports, and databases. Focus on efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Prepare systems specifications, project plans, and other internal documents. Ensure users and partners understand nature of work being performed, as well as timeframes and milestones. Provide regular status updates to management and stakeholders.

  • Depending on focus, maintain existing functionality in company web portals by working with internal and external users to develop new portal features or install new versions of vendor software and perform unit, system, and integrated tests. Work closely with related staff to upgrade and maintain systems.

  • Train users in technical aspects of systems.

  • Assume leadership role in selection and recommendation of suppliers and vendors. Participate in management of those relationships.

  • Develop and maintain metrics to provide visibility to system functions and company operational data. Educate stakeholders on metrics.

  • Advocate for standard use of technology to improve company efficiency, system accuracy and correctness, and customer value. Advocate use of technology to empower stakeholders.

  • Prioritize work effectively to ensure both success of projects and smooth operation of existing functions.

  • Manage time and expectations to ensure a high degree of stakeholder and user satisfaction.



Requirements:


Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, or a related field (or foreign equivalent).


In addition, a minimum of 5 years' progressive experience which must include at least 5 years' experience in each of the following:




  • Visual Studio.NET languages (principally C#) and Microsoft Transact-SQL

  • Software design and Object Oriented Programming principles

  • Structured code management best practices using Git, Team Foundation Server, or Azure DevOps

  • Modeling workflow and business processes

  • REST/SOAP API design and construction

  • Synchronous and asynchronous integration patterns utilizing APIs and API management platforms, message/service bus approaches, queuing, etc.

  • Analyzing, designing, and creating data integrations drawn from normalized databases, SSIS packages, NOSQL, JSON, and other sources

  • Working familiarity with systems analysis techniques and event management/monitoring and alerting

  • Experience with healthcare related data formats such as EDI, FHIR, and HL7

  • Coordinating numerous, simultaneous projects

  • Responsible for accurate, reliable design, development, maintenance, and testing of applications

  • Participating in broad information systems assignments requiring originality and ingenuity

  • Working independently and in teams

  • Use of change control and production control for deployments
