Summary
The Supervisor, Collateral responsibility is first and foremost an overseer whose main responsibility is to ensure that the collateral team completes the assigned amount of production, when they are supposed to do it and within acceptable levels of quality, costs and efficiency. The Collateral Supervisor will develop group cohesiveness, lead and solve routine daily problems. Assign production to the team, train and motivate team members.
Essential Job Functions:
Ensure all collateral is received in a timely manager, sorted, filed and shipped to the banks within required time frames established.
Ensure safekeeping of original loan collateral documents in fire proof file cabinets. Monitoring and alerting manager of possible capacity issues.
Audit and review loan collateral documents for accuracy prior to the purchase of the loans.
Ensure all loans are updated in Lakewood System with audit results and wire bank information.
Manage the shipping process to the bank, reconciliation of the shipping manifest. Address all expectations from the bank post purchase to ensure timely delivery of pools.
Manage the collateral pipeline for our c2c (correspondent to correspondent) clients, ensure timely completion of the collateral received by our mutual banks.
Manage the SPG collateral mailbox, address daily questions or concerns. Quick turnaround responses to evelvated issues.
Processing the return of collateral for loans not purchased by FMC, ensure data entry is complete in Lakewood System. Verify accuracy and safe delivery of collateral back to the correspondent lenders.
Investigating, resolving and handling exceptions by using skilled staff and daily business object reports. Focus on identifying and handling cases that deviate from the normal day to day processes.
Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

Education and/or Experience:

Language Skills:

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graph.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
