Sr Embedded Software Engineer

We're currently seeking a seasoned Embedded Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a key player in advancing precision motion control, sensor integration, and the application of mathematical and physical principles, you'll be integral to shaping the future of semiconductor technology.



What You Will Do:



• Lead the development of embedded software solutions, spanning precision motion control, sensor integration, and mathematical algorithms.


• Supervise global team of professionals, driving forward cutting-edge solutions across continents.


• Champion best practices in embedded software engineering, ensuring scalability, reliability, and adherence to industry standards.


• Contribute to the advancement of real-time operating systems and device drivers, optimizing performance and efficiency


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate advanced technologies such as machine vision and machine learning into embedded systems.


• Mentor and transfer knowledge to junior staff members, and drive the escalations to closure


• Act in a leadership role as a principal customer contact and/or interface with senior company management



What You Will Bring:



• Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering Bachelor's degree with 8+ years or Master with 5+ years of embedded software development experience in relevant industries.


• Proficiency in C, C++ and working experience in C#, with expertise in real-time operating systems and microcontroller units (MCUs).


• Expert debugging skills using In-Circuit Emulators, Debuggers, Oscilloscopes, electrical schematics


• Expertise in building robotics and motion control solutions, multi-threading, network communication, and instrumentation.


• Expert in interrupt service routines and writing drivers for peripherals like network, I2C, SPI, ADC, DAC, DMA, memory and power management on bare metal as well RTOS


• Demonstrated expertise in ARM platforms.


• Experience in customizing Linux operating systems for ARM platform.


• Fluency in UML for Object-Oriented Analysis/Design, including state machines.


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


• Demonstrated expertise in developing project plans and delivering schedules



Nice To Haves:



• Working knowledge of industrial protocols like EtherCAT, Modbus TCP/IP, etc.


• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with machine vision and machine learning algorithms.


• Previous experience in the semiconductor or semiconductor equipment industry.

Compensation

Base Salary Range: $138,472.95 USD to $167,625.15 USD


Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.


This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
