We are seeking a highly motivated candidate to work part-time as a Study Coordinator in our office.
Dr. Christina Coyle is an expert in travel medicine and the PI on a grant funded by the Centers for Disease Control entitled, “Reducing the burden of neglected parasitic infections (NPIs) in the United States through evidence-based prevention and control activities.” The Study Coordinator will work with Dr. Coyle to educate patients and providers about NPIs and help screen at-risk populations in primary care clinics in New York City.
The Study Coordinator would be responsible for the following:
Schedule regular meetings and prepare minutes for the PI, for facilitation of grant activities with various primary care clinics throughout the Bronx and Queens.
Coordinate development of educational materials and provide at-risk patients with information.
Oversee the screening projects for OB and Cardiology at three different hospitals in New York hospitals which includes maintaining IRBs, scheduling meetings and keeping minutes and ensure follow up tasks.
Coordinating data collection on different projects pertaining to grant such as review of malaria screening in New York City and Chagas screening projects
Support additional educational efforts as needed for the grant, which may include coordinating and tracking evaluations of virtual symposiums and other teaching sessions.
Organize and maintain financial data as it pertains to the grant.
Prepare progress report for cooperative agreements.
Coordinate materials for dissemination amongst the referral hospital (Best practices, diagnostics, etc.).
Book venues, create and send invitations, create agendas, and create minutes for reports.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Pre-health or public health curriculum preferred but not required!
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office. May use other web-based programs as assigned
Must demonstrate good judgment, initiative, and attention to detail.
