We are working with a leading law firm in Orange County. Seeking a Litigation Support Specialist to provide comprehensive support throughout the litigation process. The role involves case management, document preparation, and e-discovery, with an emphasis on strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Document Management: Organize, review, and manage litigation documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, and correspondence.
E-Discovery Support: Assist in the collection, processing, and review of electronically stored information (ESI) using industry-standard tools and software.
Database Management: Maintain and update litigation databases, ensuring the accuracy and security of case information.
Research Assistance: Conduct legal research and summarize findings to assist attorneys in case strategy and development.
Training: Provide training to end-users on database usage and document management systems.
Reporting: Prepare status reports and case summaries for attorneys, highlighting key developments and deadlines.
Trial Preparation: Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including creating exhibit lists and preparing trial binders.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Legal Studies, Business, Information Technology).
Minimum of 3 years of experience in litigation support, eDiscovery, or related roles.
Proficient in legal software (e.g., CSDisco) and Microsoft Outlook.
Strong understanding of litigation processes and e-discovery principles.
Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Paralegal certification or similar credentials.
Experience with trial technology and courtroom presentations.
Familiarity with various legal areas (e.g., intellectual property, corporate law, employment law).
Work Environment:
This is an office-based position with occasional extended hours during trial periods and travel for court appearances or client meetings.
Salary Range:
Annual Salary Range: $70,000 - $95,000 depending on experience.
