Comcast Spectacor oversees the Wells Fargo Center and its major transformation project, the Philadelphia Flyers, the Philadelphia Wings lacrosse team, the Maine Mariners hockey team, the Flyers Training Center, the Seoul Infernos OWL team, and Spectacor Events and Entertainment, a growing live events business that has already brought successful, new events to the Philadelphia area. Comcast Spectacor is headquartered at the Wells Fargo Center (WFC) in Philadelphia, PA. The WFC, the 4th most highly attended arena nationally and 7th most attended in the world is home to 270+ events per year, including the Philadelphia Flyers, Philadelphia 76ers, Philadelphia Wings, Villanova, concerts, and events. Comcast Spectacor is a wholly owned subsidiary of Comcast and maintains connected and disconnected networks within the Wells Fargo Center.

Job Summary

Comcast Spectacor has an exciting new role to expand its social media team. The ideal Social Media Specialist is a social media guru with a knack for driving fan interest for the Wells Fargo Center.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities


  • Along with the Director, Digital Media, create the content strategy and calendar for Wells Fargo Center social platforms.

  • Develop and curate engaging social content, both through strategic planning and real-time content creation for Wells Fargo Center.

  • Maintains the Company's brand identity standards and ensures ongoing brand awareness and consistency in all creative materials.

  • Works with internal resources to determine best targeting practices for various advertising tactics.

  • Maintain unified brand voice across all social media platforms for both Wells Fargo Center and Flyers brands.

  • Work in partnership with the digital content team to achieve marketing objectives while creating authentic, measurable content.

  • Collaborate across the Comcast Spectacor portfolio on strategies that leverage players, partners, influencers, and/or celebrities.

  • Coordinates multiple priorities while meeting simultaneous deadlines.

  • Follows through to ensure that deadlines are met and deliverables meet specifications.

  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
