Location: dover, New Hampshire
Our dynamic Occupational Therapy Team is looking for a per diem candidate with strong acute care inpatient skills who enjoys a fast-paced environment. Join our 25-person dynamic team of inpatient and outpatient therapists that work not only in the hospital but in 5 satellite outpatient clinics. This position is inpatient care; the ideal candidate is self-motivated and able to work independently and within an interdisciplinary team. Weekend availability is mandatory for this positions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' occupational performance and needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to achieve specific therapeutic goals.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and other rehabilitation professionals, to provide holistic care.
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and the use of adaptive equipment.
- Monitor and document patient progress toward goals, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
- Stay current with best practices in occupational therapy and participate in professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
Experience Minimum Required
• Equivalent of Level II clinical affiliation in acute care
Experience Preferred/Desired
• One year experience in hospital setting
Education Minimum Required
• MS or BS in Occupational Therapy and completion of Internship
Licensure and/or Certifications Required
• NH License Occupation Therapy
• AHA or ARC BLS within 2 weeks of hire
Licensure and/or Certifications Preferred/Desired
• Professional Registry
