The WHP Center for Weight Management and Bariatric Surgery
Our Center's multidisciplinary team is dedicated to transforming lives through our comprehensive weight loss surgery and obesity medicine programs. Our bariatric surgeons, advanced practitioners, certified nurses, registered dietitians, behavioral health counselors work collaboratively to support our patients at every stage of their journey. We focus on preparing them both physically and mentally for surgery, addressing unhealthy behaviors, and assisting with preoperative weight loss. The Opportunity
We are seeking a full-time Licensed Integrated Behavioral Health Provider (IBHP) to join our growing bariatric surgery team! As a core member of our care team, the IBHP will provide full Psycho-Social Evaluation for Bariatric Surgery candidates as well as provide time-limited behavioral health support after the surgery.
This position requires advanced skills in utilizing evidence based screening tools, conducting thorough assessments using a biopsychosocial model and delivering brief evidence-based interventions including psychoeducation, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Problem Solving Therapy, Behavioral Activation, and other short-term solution-focused interventions for patients. Existing knowledge or deep interest in acquiring training in Bariatric Health issues is required.
It is highly beneficial for the individual in this position to be confident in their skills and decision-making, organized in their follow-up with patients and providing clear guidelines, and comfortable speaking in front of and running support groups in addition to the individual sessions for patients.
Location
This 40-hour position is on-site at 10 Members Way in Dover, NH. The hours of operation are Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm. This role offers flexibility in scheduling to help manage both professional and personal commitments.

Experience Minimum Required
• 3-5 years of independent counseling at the licensed level
Experience Preferred/Desired
• Over 5 years of independent counseling at the LICSW level with children, families and adults; specialty certifications in areas such as substance abuse, crisis or grief.
Education
• LICSW, LCMHC, LMFT
• Licensed in NH
• Licensed in ME preferred
Special Skills Minimum Required
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to organize time and establish priorities; ability to communicate in written, electronic and verbal formats; ability to give and receive information over the telephone; ability to make effective judgements and decisions based on objective criteria.
• Ability to work in a stressful environment and handle sensitive issues; ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Calm, reassuring, empathetic demeanor; flexible, professional in interactions with people at all levels; ability to work with a wide range of patient conditions, personalities, and cultures; ability to provide good internal and external customer service.
• Ability to operate a computer.
• Ability to assess and diagnose mental disorders.
• Ability to provide treatment using multiple modalities of acceptable practice.
