Arcadis is seeking a Project Civil Engineer to join our Design & Engineering team within the North America Places group. We are looking to grow our team of skilled multi-discipline engineers and engineering consultants throughout North America. This is a key location-based position.

Role description:

As a Project Civil Engineer you will be responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing construction projects in the infrastructure space. You will ensure these projects comply with safety standards, regulations, and environmental guidelines, while managing budgets and timelines. You will also collaborate with architects, contractors, and other professionals to ensure the successful completion of projects. This role is based out of our Cincinnati office and requires 3 days a week in office , 2 days a week from home.

Role accountabilities:


  • Assist with execution of design tasks for civil infrastructure/site development focusing public and private development including single and multi-family residential, institutional and commercial development
  • Projects will include a variety of public and private project opportunities
  • Work directly with a project manager to assist with the completion of construction documents
  • Civil engineering design including site layout, Roadway layout, Site grading and drainage, utility sizing and layout, storm water management design including design of retention/detention facilities
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to coordinate project activities and ensure effective communication and problem-solving.
  • Working with municipalities on permits

Qualifications & Experience:

  • BS in Civil Engineering
  • PE in Civil Engineering or able to write the PE exam within 6-12 months
  • 5+ years' or more of related experience

Arcadis offers benefits for full time and part time positions. We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $72,924 - $109,180. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
