Responsibilities
3Rd Shift - 11:00 PM - 7:00 aM - Monday through Friday -
Starting pay $26.70/hr
Pay Grade - HR150
Now Hiring at the MSA Safety Cranberry Township, PA manufacturing plant for an SMT Technician. The responsibilities of this position are primarily to:
Assemble printed circuit boards by setting-up and operating SMT and/or Conformal Coating machines.
Perform manual inspection of the boards to ensure that they are within specification.
Program SMT and/or Conformal Coating Machines using CAD software. Programming also requires knowledge of machine functions in relation to board layout and flow of material.
Troubleshoot and debug errors within programs and machines.
Run prototype boards/programs for engineering (red folder) jobs.
Complete and maintain relevant paperwork and input information in computer system.
Qualifications
Requirements:
Demonstrated proficiency in soldering
Strong manual dexterity for use of tools and performing work on small components requiring fine finger manipulation and hand steadiness
Ability to:
program SMT and/or Conformal Coating machines using CAD software.
read and understand drawings, work instructions and test procedures.
perform standard software operations including Excel and SAP.
identify various electronic components.
infrequently lift, carry, push and pull up to 40 pounds without assistance.
regularly perform work that requires magnification.
to concentrate for prolonged periods of time.
stand for prolonged periods of time, frequently in a stationary position.
work in a team environment and effectively communicate with various levels within the organization including training of new associates.
work independently with minimal supervision.
prioritize and organize work.
wear ANSI Z87 approved safety glasses and other PPE as required per Job Safety Analysis.
Operate at a level that meets or exceeds quality and productivity standards for the work area.
Willingness to work on various product groups and work flexible shifts.
Individuals with pace makers may be prohibited from working in specific areas due to the operation of UV ovens.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Associate Degree in Electronics or equivalent.
Minimum 12 months previous electronics manufacturing or other related experience.
Experience Preferred:
Computer Programming training.
Minimum of 12 months experience working in the Boardroom assembling PCBs.
Previous experience with fluidics and robotics.
